Mary joined the Department of Surgery in February 2008. She is responsible for managing the Division of Surgical Education. Among her activities, she collaborates with surgery faculty members to efficaciously integrate educational technologies into their teaching of surgery residents and clerkship students. Prior to joining the department she worked at Northwestern University's Division of Information Technology and served as the Manager of Faculty Support Services. In that capacity she was responsible for the support and training of Northwestern University faculty members in the use of a variety of web-based and desktop educational technologies. Ms. Schuller holds a MSEd from Northwestern University and a BS from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Jaclyn joined the Surgical Education team in June 2017. Jaclyn oversees our ACGME accredited general surgery residency program. Some of the major responsibilities include recruitment, orientation, graduation and rotation scheduling. Prior to joining the Department, Jaclyn worked as the GME Administrator for The University of Chicago and as the Student and Resident Manager for the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. Jaclyn holds an MS in Public Service Management with a concentration in Health Care Administration from DePaul University and a BS in Health Care Administration from Western Illinois University.
Assistant Housestaff Coordinator
Christina joined the Surgical Education team as the Assistant Housestaff Coordinator in September 2014. Christina coordinates resident conferences, organizes evaluations of residents, and performs verifications for graduates of our residency program. Christina recently completed her BA in Political Science and Sociology & Anthropology from DePauw University.
Jason joined Northwestern as the Clerkship Coordinator in September 2017. Jason supports the Surgical Education department in organizing the clerkship for the third year medical students and the Sub-Internship for the fourth year medical students. He also assists with visiting students who enroll in surgery electives. Prior to joining the department, Jason worked for the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health as a University Services Program Associate for Curriculum Transformation. Jason graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Literature and Education.
