Pediatric General Surgery Fellowships

We are the pediatric teaching center of the Feinberg School of Medicine. Pediatric training requirements for residents in general surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine are fulfilled at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Ours is the second oldest pediatric surgery training program in the United States. Our outstanding faculty, comprehensive clinical services, and innovative research programs all contribute to an exceptional training environment.

Training rotations vary in length according to program requirements, but all provide a full range of pediatric experience in the specialty.

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is also the primary training site for approved subspecialty programs in Pediatric General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Congenital Cardiac Surgery through the Feinberg School of Medicine.

Advanced pediatric post-graduate training fellowships are available in the Divisions of Plastic Surgery and Transplant Surgery at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Trainees in these subspecialty areas have an interest in pursuing specialized pediatric practice opportunities within their specialty.
