The 2009 Edelstone-Bendix graduation dinner was held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at The Ritz-Carlton at Watertower Place. 

Approximately 200 of the Department of Surgery’s faculty, fellows and residents attended the annual dinner which honors the Department’s graduating fellows and residents.  

The dinner followed the Edelstone-Bendix Residents’ Day which featured a number of presentations by residents and fellows and showcased their outstanding work in both clinical and basic science research.  This year’s guest lecturer and judge was George K. Gittes M.D., Benjamin R. Fisher, Professor of Pediatric Surgery, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

The clerkship has a new coordinator, Clare Broad.

Clare recently graduated from Saint Norbert College with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. In her Junior and Senior years she interned in the department and gained valuable experience within the unit. We look forward to working with her.
